For the needs for the exhibition « Tour d’horizons, paysage en papier peint » of very recognized Museum of the Wallpaper in Alsace, I have created a panoramic wallpaper on the theme of the landscape.
My look confronted with the big spaces. I was inspired in particular by the Hook of the Furnace for this nature in the rough, mineral, desert, volcanic peculiarity. The rocky material of the ground extends as far as the eye can see as an aplat of material which has a dialogue with the purity of the sky. I am also feeds panoramic former of the factory of printing Zuber, observed the degraded brushed funds(collections) and analyzed their technique.
This landscape is for the border between the wallpaper and the work of art, here everything is a question of light and material. Our look is snatched as in a painting of Rothko there.
I chose to entitle my landscape « Héméra » in reference to the Greek goddess who embodies celestial light.
I wanted the wallpaper to tell a story, rather like a panoramic format, a story about textures and light where the viewer may make their own musings in the landscape.
